Classes
Scripps Ranch High offers Acting and Technical Theater classes, including coursework in Theater Management. Classes visit Marshall Middle School to teach skills as well. In the Playhouse, we learn by doing!
Thespian Troupe 8473
In 2017, the Falcon Playhouse became an official member of the International Thespian Society as Thespian Troupe 8473. The International Thespian Society is an honor society for high school theatre students. Students now have the opportunity to become official thespians, an honor given to those who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to and passion for theatre. Click here for more information.
Improv
Scripps Ranch High Improv strives to make people laugh, creating unforgettable scenes entirely in the moment. Team selection occurs by audition twice a year. The team meets during lunch, then performs twice a year, crafting different, unpredictable scenes molded by the unique energy of the performers. This program teaches performance as a measure of trust, connection, and embracing the unexpected.
Summer Intensive
Open to incoming 9th–12th grade students, the Falcon Playhouse summer Intensive serves as an introduction to the upcoming school year. It fosters collaboration, creativity, and technical and performance skills. Participants work closely with the director's team to strengthen their craft and develop as part of the high school ensemble. After just one month of preparation, students have the rewarding opportunity to bring their hard work to life onstage in a live performance.
